PURPOSE: A display device and a method of displaying the same are provided to remarkably reduce a screen switching time by performing a channel switching operation in consideration of the stabilizing time of an I frame for each channel. CONSTITUTION: A signal reception unit(110) receives a broadcasting signal of a specific channel and converts the received broadcasting signal into an intermediate frequency. A digital demodulation unit(120) restores a transmission stream from the intermediate frequency. A demultiplexing unit(130) parses the transmission stream to extract a video signal from the stream. A video decoder(140) restores a video image by decoding the extracted video signal.
