TERMINAL, COMMUNICATION METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform NAT traversal in a network configuration in which a terminal performs control communication and media communication via an access device having a NAT function and an SBC (Session Border Controller).

SOLUTION: A terminal is provided via an access network under the control of an access device connected to a communication network, and performs media communication and control communication for controlling the media communication via a communication repeater disposed at a connection point between the communication network and the other communication network. The terminal includes: a determination means for transmitting a control signal to the communication repeater and determining whether to receive a response signal for the control signal from the communication repeater; and a communication control means for establishing an HTTPS tunnel between the terminal and an HTTPS tunneling server connected to the communication network to perform the control communication and media communication with the communication repeater via the HTTPS tunnel when the determination means determines that the response signal has not been received.
