PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic bread making machine making bread directly from cereal grains. SOLUTION: A bread container 50 in which a blade rotation shaft 52 is disposed on the bottom, is inserted into a baking chamber 40 that is disposed within a body 10 of the automatic bread making machine 1. The blade rotation shaft 52 is mounted with a grinding blade 54 unrotatable to the shaft and a dome-like cover 70 covering the grinding blade 54 and including a mixing blade 72 provided on the outer surface. A clutch 76 interposed between the cover 70 and the blade rotation shaft 52 connects the cover 70 when the blade rotation shaft 52 is rotated forward, and disconnects the cover 70 when the blade rotation shaft 52 is rotated in the opposite direction. The cover 70 is provided with a window 74 formed to communicate the space in the cover with the space outside the cover. An inner surface of the cover 70 is provided with a rib 75 formed to guide a ground material generated by the grinding blade 54 toward the window 74.
