PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save energy by generating power using a Roots blower 20 in winter, etc., in an evaporation type cooling device, comprising an evaporator 1 for boiling/evaporating evaporative liquid for cold by decompression, a condenser 2 for condensing vapor, an indirect type heat exchanger 6 for cold on a load 14 side, a cooling heat exchanger 11, circulation means 5, 7 for cold which circulate the evaporative liquid for cold of the evaporator between the indirect type heat exchanger for cold and themselves, and cooling circulation means 10, 12 for circulating the cooling evaporative liquid of the condenser between the cooling heat exchanger and themselves, and provided with the Roots blower 20 in a vapor duct 19 from the evaporator to the condenser. SOLUTION: When difference between evaporator-side temperature (Te) and condenser-side temperature (Tc) becomes predetermined temperature difference (Tα) or larger, the cooling device is controlled to obtain regeneration energy by vapor pressure passing the vapor duct 19 through the Roots blower 20, an electric motor 21, and an inverter 32.
