The switch (1) has a switch housing (3) in which a handle shell (8) pre-stressed by a spring element (10) is provided. A switch shield (2) is fastened to the switch housing. The switch shield has a fastening part (6) with a contour that accommodates a fastening part i.e. plug-in element (7) with a counter contour of the switch housing for connecting the switch housing and the switch shield. The switch shield stays indirectly or directly in effective connection with the handle shell. A wooden or aluminum decorative element is connected with the switch shield.
