PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of reducing impact, vibration and collision noise caused when a built-in strobe is moved from a strobe storage standby position to a strobe light emission position. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a strobe housing in which a guide groove is formed and which is rotated with respect to an imaging apparatus body, to be movable between a storage position and a light emission position; a guide pin which is provided to the imaging apparatus body and slides on the guide groove; and a stopper member which is provided to the strobe housing and comes into contact with the guide pin, when the strobe housing is placed at the light emission position. The imaging apparatus is configured so that when the guide pin is projected toward the stopper member in a direction where the guide pin comes into contact with the stopper member, the stopper member and the strobe housing come into contact with each other in a position outside the projection position of the guide pin.
