<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lockup device for a torque converter in which a damper torsional angle of the lockup device is increased to further reduce the stiffness of the damper property. <P>SOLUTION: The lockup device includes a piston 30, a drive plate 31, a plurality of outer peripheral-side torsion springs 32, a float member 42, a driven plate 35, a plurality of inner peripheral-side torsion springs 33, an intermediate member 34. The float member 42 can rotate relative to the drive plate 31, and causes two of the outer peripheral-side torsion springs 32 to act in series. The intermediate member 34 can rotate relative to the drive plate 31 and the driven plate 35, and transmits a torque from the outer peripheral-side torsion springs 32 to the inner peripheral-side torsion springs 33. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
