PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a change in a feeling of elasticity on the supporting surface of a seat when a heat-retaining property of the seat for a vehicle is enabled to change. SOLUTION: The seat for the vehicle elastically supports a person to be seated by a supporting surface 21 which is formed of a stretched sheet elastic body 23. The seat includes a heat insulating material 45 at a back side of the sheet elastic body 23 forming the supporting surface 21. The seat can switch between a contact state in which the heat insulating material 45 is held in contact with a back side 22 of the sheet elastic body 23 and a spaced state in which the heat insulating material 45 is held apart from the sheet elastic body 23 to form an inner space between the sheet elastic body 23 and the heat insulating material 45.
