PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet coil type resolver having high detection angle accuracy by forming a coil pattern, such that voltage distribution induced in a detection phase becomes sinusoidal distribution in resolvers having a relatively small shaft-multiple angle number. SOLUTION: An excitation coil 420 for composing a resolver rotor coil 217 includes an outer peripheral side pattern section 421, an inner peripheral side pattern section 422, and a folding pattern section 423. In this case, the folding pattern section 423 is composed of only widened folding patterns Pr1-Pr10, and the width of the folding pattern section 423 is made larger than that of the outer peripheral side pattern section 421 and the inner peripheral side pattern section 422, thus relaxing a concentration of a change in magnetic flux across a coil, setting voltage distribution induced in a detection phase to be sinusoidal distribution, and improving a detection angle accuracy.
