<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery in which precipitation of lithium and increase of SEI film are suppressed even for high-rate charge and discharge under a low temperature condition and which has superior cycle characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a lithium secondary battery includes: a step in which a negative electrode mixture layer formation paste in which a negative electrode mixture containing a carbon material capable of storing and releasing lithium ions reversibly and a binder is dispersed in a prescribed solvent is prepared; a step in which the paste is coated on the surface of a negative electrode current collector; a step in which a negative electrode mixture layer is formed by pressing the coated object so that the surface area per unit area of the current collector after pressing is 180-240 cm<SP>2</SP>/cm<SP>2</SP>; and a step in which the lithium secondary battery is constructed using the negative electrode mixture layer formed as above. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
