<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To locate a failure in a communication network without imposing heavy load on the communication network or requiring a special function to a repeater. <P>SOLUTION: The network trouble detection device includes: a communication determination means for determining whether a packet can be transmitted/received between the terminals; and a path information holding means for holding path information between the terminals. The path information is generated by connecting paths to be specified by two repeaters to be connected in the communication network. The device has a failure locating means for specifying a path where a communication failure occurs in the communication network, on the basis of determination results for each path when the determination results by the communication determination means are given to paths constituting the path information between the terminals corresponding to the determination results, regarding combination of all the terminals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
