PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil composition for a rotary compressor enhancing permanent shear stability and enhancing power-saving effect. SOLUTION: This oil composition for a rotary compressor includes (A) a hydrocarbon-based lubricant base oil having a 40°C kinetic viscosity of 4 to 30 mm2/s and (B) an ethylene/propylene copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of 20,000 to 60,000, and has a kinetic viscosity at 40°C of 13 to 30 mm2/s.
