PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window frame structure capable of improving the aesthetic appearance of a lighting part by thinning down the portions of the window frame structure which connect the frame member thereof. SOLUTION: This window frame structure is joined to the skeleton (68) of a building (3), and includes pairs of vertical crosspieces (10, 40, 12 and 14, 44, 16) which are joined to the skeleton at the upper end and lower end, respectively, and pairs of lateral rails (20, 42, 22 and 24, 46, 26) which are joined to the skeleton at the left end and right end, respectively. The lateral crosspieces include at least one fitting part (6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d) for directly joining the lateral crosspieces to the lateral cross pieces of the other window frame structure arranged continuously therewith in the vertical direction, respectively.
