<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light pen, which has a light emitter for emitting light for input of information onto an input screen of an information terminal device, with a switch for changing functions for making it possible to easily vary the line width, color and the like of handwriting of input information displayed on the input screen of the information terminal device and/or a display screen while the information is input on the input screen of the information terminal device. <P>SOLUTION: One switch 12 for switching blinking is provided on a grip 11 of a shaft cylinder 2 and is connected to a circuit unit 13 provided on the shaft cylinder 2 and having a blinking control circuit that controls the lighted state and the blinking state of a light emitting diode of the light emitter 9. A main switch 16 is provided at the rear end 15 of the shaft cylinder 2. When the main switch 16 is pressed, a power supply 14, the circuit unit 13, and the light emitter 9 are electrically connected to one another and the light emitter 9 is put in a lighted state.
