PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein, if interior illumination of a refrigerator is installed on a ceiling or a back face, when a stored object is stored, the lower side and front face side of the stored object are darkened, deteriorating visibility. SOLUTION: In the refrigerator including a storage compartment provided in a refrigerator body, shelves provided within the storage compartment to place stored objects and shelf supports provided on the wall face of the storage compartment and supporting the shelves, illumination means for irradiation toward the shelves are arranged in the shelf support.
