PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin depositing and dispensing device, suppressing deterioration of coin discrimination accuracy. SOLUTION: The coin depositing and dispensing device 1 includes: a coin guide surface 31 for guiding a coin; a metallic frame 72 disposed to face the coin guide surface 31; a carrier mounted on the frame 72 to carry the coin on the coin guide surface 31; a coil 48 arranged around the coin guide surface 31; and a discrimination means which discriminates the coin by use of the coil 48. The frame 72 includes a cutout 72j formed in a direction away from the coil 48, and the cutout 72j is formed at least in a part where it overlaps the coil 48 in a direction orthogonal to the coin carrying direction in the frame 72.
