METHOD FOR PREPARING SUPERHYDROPHOBIC POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE FABRIC USING NANO SILICA PARTICLE AND WATER-REPELLENT AGENT

PURPOSE: A method for preparing polyethylene teraphthalate fabric using nano silica particle and water-repellent agent is provided to improve water repellent agent fabric performance. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing polyethylene terephthalate fabric comprises: a step of applying dispersion solution in which silica particles are dispersed on a polyethylene terephthalate fabric, a step of fixing the silica particles on fiber surface and drying, and a step of treating with the water-repellent agent. The silica particle is prepared by mixing tetraethyl orthosilicate(TEOS) and ethanol, stirring to obtain a solution, mixing the solution, ammonium hydroxide(NH_4OH) and water(H_2O), and stirring. The alcohol is methanol, ethanol, propanol, or butanol. The water-repellent is fluorines.
