PURPOSE: A location management apparatus of a terminal and method thereof in a GAN(Generic Access Network) are provided to perform the efficient location management of the terminal. CONSTITUTION: A GANC(Generic Access Network Controller)(300) transmits a registration accept message having paging region unit information. A UE transmits registration request information to the GANC. The UE confirms paging area unit information included in a received registration accept message. The UE transmits a registration update message to the GANC.
