PURPOSE: A device and method for driving an LED and an LED operating system and liquid crystal display device using the same are provided to reduce the changed amounts or ripples of a voltage and a current of an output terminal of a power supply unit which supplies power to an LED, thereby realizing a stable operation of an LED operating device. CONSTITUTION: A channel operating unit(910) detects a pulse width of a received PWM signal by using a reference clock. The channel operating unit outputs n dimming signals. The channel operating unit includes n counters(911~914) which generate and output n dimming signals to n channels. A storage unit(904) stores the detected pulse width. A clock generating unit(902) supplies the reference clock.
