OXYNITRIDE-BASED PHOSPHORS FOR WHITE LEDS, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF AND LEDS USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An oxynitride-based phosphor is provided to selectively express desired wavelength of primary colors of green-yellow-red through the control of a manufacturing process of a fluorescent substance. CONSTITUTION: An oxynitride-based phosphor includes an aMO-bAl_2O_3-cSi_3N_4 ternary inorganic compound as a main component. A method for preparing the oxynitride-based phosphor comprises the steps of: (i) weighting a aMO-bAl_2O_3-cSi_3N_4 ternary inorganic compound as a main component in a range of 0.2<=a/(a+b)<=0.9, 0.05<=b/(b+c)<=0.85, 0.4<=c/(c+a)<=0.9, and mixing the materials to prepare raw material salts; and (ii) heat-treating the mixed raw material salts in a reducing atmosphere controlled at 1300-1400°C with reducing gas of 100-250 sccm.
