PURPOSE: Health functional food containing a boussingaultia gracilis extract as an active ingredient is provided to offer a composition capable of preventing and curing hyperlipidemia, obesity, fatty liver, and diabetes. CONSTITUTION: Health functional food contains a boussingaultia gracilis extract obtained by extracting boussingaultia gracilis with water or ethanol as an active ingredient. The boussingaultia gracilis extract is extracted by using 70% of ethanol. The health functional food is either a pharmaceutical composition or a nutritional composition.
