PURPOSE: An activated carbon absorption column equipped with an activated carbon sample extracting unit is provided to accurately determine the replacing timing of activated carbon by measuring the absorbing ability of the activated carbon. CONSTITUTION: An activated carbon absorption column and an activated carbon sample extracting unit are prepared. The activated carbon absorption column is filled with an activated carbon filled layer(111). The sample extracting unit is composed of a filtering tank, a pump(14), a moving pipe(12), extracting pipes(16), and a extracting valve(18). The moving pipe is installed on the filtering tank and moves water and samples. The pump is installed on the moving pipe and moves the water and the samples. The extracting pipes are in connection with the moving pipe. The extracting valve is installed to the extracting pipes.
