PURPOSE: A portable terminal controlling method using a navigation device is provided to enable a portable terminal to perform operation corresponding to a point corresponding to a provided coordinate value. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal(200) receives a coordinate value. The portable terminal recognizes occurrence of a user input in a point corresponding to the received coordinate value in an inner display part. The portable terminal performs operation corresponding to the recognized user input generation. The portable terminal transmits a user interface data and a content data with a navigation device(100) according to the operation performance. The navigation deice displays the user interface data and the content data on a screen.
