PURPOSE: A system for providing information using an SMS and a method thereof are provided to receive various kinds of contents from a certain content server device when transmitting an SMS message to a network by using a mobile communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: An SMS receiver(200) receives an SMS message, and classifies the SMS message into a text message and a CID(Caller ID). A member authentication unit(300) searches a member DB(800) based on the received CID to confirm whether or not a user is a member. If a menu displaying a service exists in the received message, a message analyzer(400) analyzes additional information. A contents generator(450) drives a program which generates the contents corresponding to the analyzed menu and additional information. The contents generating unit converts the generated contents into the SMS message or MMS message. |
