Prepn. of an embryonic product (I) in which hen and/or duck eggs are incubated until the embryo is formed, but before skin appears. Eggs are washed, sterilized (pref. in EtOH), and (I) is extd. Extract is freeze-dried (pref. in sterile atmosphere), and produced dried (I) is pref. dissolved in an unstated solvent, and filtered soln. is fractionated to remove solvent to give (I). Unlike previous products, (I) (useful in the treatment of debility, wasting diseases, and old age) may be transported and stored satisfactorily.
