<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is excellent in operability in jam removal processing around a fixing part and in which low profile and rigidity of the apparatus are taken into consideration. <P>SOLUTION: A conveyance guide member 21 is positioned at a first position by making positioning protrusions 37 protrusively provided to both ends of the conveyance guide member 21 run onto the upper end of an inclined surface 39a of a supporting member 39 in a state where a fixing jam processing cover 35 is closed. By turning the fixing jam processing cover 35 in a downward direction, the positioning protrusion 37 moves downward along the inclined surface 39a of the supporting member 39 by gravity of the conveyance guide member 21. Thus, the inclination of the conveyance guide member 21 becomes gradually gentle, and the conveyance guide member 21 turns together with the fixing jam processing cover 35 while avoiding interference with a reinforced sheet metal 27. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
