<p>Disclosed is an electroconductive polymer actuator. The electroconductive polymer actuator is of a bending operation type and can realize reliable operation by virtue of improved adhesion between an electroconductive polymer membrane and a solid electrolyte membrane. The electroconductive polymer actuator comprises a laminate structure comprising a solid electrolyte membrane and an electroconductive polymer membrane provided on at least one side of the solid electrolyte membrane. The solid electrolyte membrane comprises a mixture of an organic polymer with an ionic liquid. The organic polymer includes at least one of vinylidene fluoride/hexafluoropropylene copolymers [P(VDF/HFP)], polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), perfluorosulfonic acid/PTFE copolymers, polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), polyethylene oxide (PEO), and polyacrylonitrile (PAN). The electroconductive polymer membrane comprises a mixture of polyethylenedioxythiophene (PEDOT) with polystyrene sulfonic acid (PSS). The electroconductive polymer actuator is characterized in that the electroconductive polymer membrane contains a perfluorosulfonic acid/PTFE copolymer.</p> |
