<p>A method for encrypting video conference data by a terminal is provided. The method include: the terminal generates a network authentication token ring (AUTN) during the authentication between the terminal and a video conference server (101); after the authentication succeeds, the video conference server transmits a media format negotiation request carrying a random password (RAND) to the terminal (102); the terminal calculates an encryption key by combining the AUTN with the RAND (103), and then negotiates the encryption key and the encryption algorithm with the video conference server, and after the negotiation is unified, the encryption communication between the two parties is initiated (104). A system for encrypting the video conference data by the terminal is also provided by the present invention. The method and the system enable the encryption of the video conference data, and ensure the secret transmission of the video conference data. Because user names registered by each terminal are different in the video conference, encryption keys generated by each terminal are different, which effectively prevents a third party interception during the communication between the terminal and the server.</p> |
