<p>In order to solve the problem that near video On demand (NVOD) channels can only switch among the same type of programs in the prior art, the present invention provides a method for implementing NVOD channel, a media control server and a NVOD channel system thereof. The method for implementing NVOD channel comprises: the media control server obtains the starting time for playing the next program and the type of the next program; according to the type of the next program, the media control server switches programs when the starting time for playing the next program arrives. The media control server comprises: an obtaining unit, which is used for obtaining the starting time for playing the next program and the type of the next program; a switching unit, which is used for switching programs, according to the type of the next program, when the starting time for playing the next program arrives. The present invention enables the program diversification of NVOD channel.</p> |
