PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal fitting for mounting a baseboard, which has a simple and light structure to enable not only easy attaching and detaching work but also labor-saving carrying, and can stably and firmly erect and set the baseboard. SOLUTION: Engaging portions 3, 4 to both sides of a ledger (a) in the width direction are provided at both ends of a strip plate 2 mounted on the ledger (a), and a portion 5 for fitting and holding the baseboard b, which consists of a pair of reinforcing bars 5a erected at an interval in which the plate thickness of the baseboard b is fitted, is provided on the upper surface of the strip plate 2 and at a position near one of the ends of the strip plate 2.
