METHOD OF EXAMINING ALLERGIC DISEASE

TRAIL (TNF-related apoptosis inducing ligand) is found out as a gene showing a difference in expression level between patients with an allergic disease and normal subjects. This TRAIL gene shows a decrease in the expression level in the patients. A method of examining an allergic disease with the use of the expression level of the TRAIL gene in peripheral monocytes as an indication and a method of examining a compound for treating the disease are provided.
