摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly detect by a photo-sensor whether or not a storage container is filled with a powder by providing a power source to apply the voltage of the polarity to attract the powder charged into the storage container and scattered in the storage container on an electrically conductive member on an outer wall side of the storage container. SOLUTION: An electrically conductive member 12 to which the positive voltage is applied by a power source 10a is provided in contact with the outside of a side wall opposite to a side wall having a projecting portion 3 formed thereon of a toner storage container 1. The toner dust 15 generated when the toner charged from a toner reception inlet above the toner storage container 1 is dropped charges the inside of the toner storage container 1 to be negative, and since the positive voltage is applied to the electrically conductive member 12 by the power source 10a, the toner dust 15 is attracted to the electrically conductive member 12, and little scattered to the projecting portion 3. A toner storage device 100 can correctly detect whether or not the toner storage container 1 is filled with the toner according to the light transmission of the projecting portion 3 by a photo-sensor 8.
