PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a malfunction, in a firmware update program and an image forming device. SOLUTION: The firmware update program updates firmware corresponding to a plurality of CPUs (Central Processing Units) of an electronic device having the CPUs. The electronic device executes update control processing configured not to update first firmware by first updating firmware if updating firmware (second updating firmware) for one or more pieces of second firmware to be updated together is not input when updating firmware (the first updating firmware) for the first firmware is input to the electronic device from the outside.
