PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing an imogolite nanotube with high purity in a short period of time. SOLUTION: In the method for synthesizing the imogolite nanotube, ammonia or urea is added to an aqueous solution comprising orthosilicic acid and aluminum nitrate, and the aqueous solution is heated, thus an imogolite nanotube with high concentration can be efficiently and simply produced without performing titration.
