The indication sate of a subtitle on a monitor is changed so as to prevent carsickness beforehand. A vehicle-mounted video display (1) comprises a display section (40) which can display a video image and a subtitle, a subtitle indication control section (14) for controlling the indication state of a subtitle, and a carsickness environment determination section (36) for determining whether the environment is susceptible to carsickness or not, wherein the subtitle indication control section (14) changes the indication of the display section (40) to an indication state for preventing carsickness if it is determined that the environment is susceptible to carsickness as the result of the determination by the carsickness environment determination section (36).
