<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of a seat and to enhance vibration absorption property and shock absorbing property. <P>SOLUTION: The seat 1 for the vehicle includes a tensile force structure stretched on a back frame 10 and a natural frequency of the back frame 10 in a right-left direction is set to be lower than a natural frequency of it in a front-back direction. As the natural frequency in the right-left direction is lower than the natural frequency in the front-back direction, the structure is likely to bend in the right-left direction. Hence, front-back pitching vibration or a shock load input in the front-back direction by back collision and the like which is larger than a predetermined value works as a force in a direction for bending the back frame in the right-left direction and thus a vibration-shock energy is consumed and, in addition, the vibration-shock energy is consumed by displacing the back frame backward further.
