The invention provides a decorative tile, which comprises a first glass layer and a second glass layer. The first glass layer comprises a plurality of glass elements, wherein the first and second glass layers are fused together. The invention also describes a method for manufacturing the above tile. The method comprises the steps of aligning the above plurality of glass elements in a layer so as to realize the butt joint or interlocking of the adjacent edges; or aligning the above plurality of glass elements in any suitable arrangement; and fusing the glass elements together so as to form a single layer through the fused glass elements.
