<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read out each piece of information from a birefringence label to which plural pieces of information are overlappingly recorded. <P>SOLUTION: A first bar code and a second bar code are recorded to a birefringence label 12, the first bar code being reproduced by linearly polarized red-color light (first reading light L1) parallel in the short side direction and the second bar code being reproduced by linearly polarized green-color light (second reading light L2) parallel in the long side direction. A probe 13 is a device which reads out the first and second bar codes, respectively, from the birefringence label 12 and is provided with first and second light sources 21, 22 and an image pickup part 23. The first light source 21 irradiates the birefringence label 12 with the first reading light L1, and the second light source 22 irradiates the birefringence label 12 with the second reading light L2 at a timing different from that of the first reading light L1. The image pickup part 23 picks up the image of the birefringence label 12 through a polarization plate 36 whose transmission axis faces the short side direction of the birefringence label 12, and acquires the reproduced image of the first bar code and the reproduced image of the second bar code, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
