PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a hook mounting member and a bumper mounting member while securing rigidity without utilizing a joint between a side member and a cross member. SOLUTION: A closing plate 45 is mounted to a rear-end opening of a side member 3 comprising an inner member 25 and an outer member 27. An L-shaped reinforcing member 31 is provided in the side member 3 near the closing plate 45. A bumper 51 is mounted to the side face of the reinforcing member 31 via a bumper stay 36. A hook mounting member 53 is mounted to the lower face of the reinforcing member 31 so as to allow a tie-down hook to be mounted thereto. The whole periphery of the closing plate 45 is welded and fixed to the rear-end opening of the side member 3 by a welding bead 47.
