<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device that performs alignment based on a shape of a rectangular medium contained in first image data and a shape of a rectangular medium contained in second image data only by entering the first image data and the second image data. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing device includes: an edge characteristic extraction part that obtains both first image data and second image data containing input rectangular regions and extracts edges forming shapes of the input rectangular regions contained in the first and second image data; a rectangular characteristic calculating part that extracts calculated rectangular regions formed by the edges; an alignment parameter calculating part that calculates parameters indicating a separation distance and a separation angle between the first calculated rectangular region extracted from the first image data and the second calculated rectangular region extracted from the second image data by the edge characteristic extraction part and the rectangular characteristic calculating part; and an image data correction part that corrects at least one of the first image data and the second image data based upon the parameters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
