PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exercise device with minimal components while minimizing the axial load on the spine and being able to increase the intensity of the exercise. SOLUTION: Independently rotatable knee pads 110 and 112 are coupled to the perimeter-side end of first and second knee supports 106 and 108 arranged around a perimeter of a base 102. An upper extremity support 114 is coupled to the base 102, and a first base supporting member is positioned at a rear of the base and a second base supporting member is positioned at a front of the base, wherein at least one of an inclination and elevation of the base 102 is determined by adjustment of both the base supporting members, wherein the first and second knee supports move around different arcs to generate an elliptical motion for an individual.
