WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, BASE STATION APPARATUS AND COMMUNICATION METHOD

A wireless communication system comprises: a plurality of mobile station apparatuses each of which transmits code bits obtained by error-correction-coding information bits; a relay station apparatus that receives the code bits from the plurality of mobile station apparatuses and transmits network code bits obtained by network-coding the received code bits; and a base station apparatus that receives and decodes the code bits and the network code bits. During the decoding of the received code bits, the base station apparatus regards the received code bits as code bits obtained by a coding that is a serial concatenation of error correction coding and network coding, thereby repetitively decoding the received code bits. Thus, there is provided a wireless communication system or the like wherein the network codes and error correction codes are regarded as serially concatenated codes and then decoded, whereby the diversity can be achieved by use of a simple structure and further wherein since there is no restriction on the error correction coding method, the system designs are made flexible.
