PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a false window which is suitably utilized even for a clean room while maintaining environment and exhibits sure effects such as reduction in psychological adverse influence, and to provide a clean room equipped with the false window. SOLUTION: The false window A, which makes a person in a room (clean room) B have a false experience as if looking through a real window, includes conductivity and is formed with an opening 1a on one face. The false window includes: a box body 1 arranged outside the room B while allowing the opening 1a side to be supported on the wall B1 of the room B; a shielding plate 2 formed by laminating a conductor 6 on one face of a glass plate 5 and provided integrally on the box body 1 so as to seal the opening 1a; and an image display 3 provided in the box body having a screen 3a opposite to the shielding plate 2 and provided in a manner of freely advancing/retreating relative to the shielding plate 2.
