PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor which reduces the impact of deterioration or the like due to mercury, to prevent lowering of its initial luminescence property, a method for producing such a phosphor, and a fluorescent lamp. SOLUTION: Phosphor particles 11, a solution of an organometallic complex of an inorganic oxide and ethanol are mixed. A green phosphor is, e.g., used as the phosphor particles 11. The mixed solution is spray-dried to obtain an organometallic complex-coated phosphor. The organometallic complex-coated phosphor has the organometallic complex coated on surfaces of the phosphor particles 11. The organometallic complex-coated phosphor is subjected to primary firing treatment in an oven in the atmosphere to obtain a primarily fired phosphor. This phosphor is further subjected to secondary firing treatment in a hydrogen/nitrogen mixed atmosphere having a volume ratio of hydrogen to nitrogen of 10-50%. Aggregates are then removed easily by screening and an inorganic oxide-coated phosphor 1 is obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
