In the disclosed refrigerator, wherein mist is sprayed using a spray device, the interior is maintained at a suitable humidity without a humidity sensor. The refrigerator (100), which forcibly cycles cold air that is gas cooled at a cooling chamber (110), is provided with a first storage chamber (107) interposed along an air duct; a spray device (131) that sprays mist into the first storage chamber (107); a damper (145) disposed upstream from the first storage chamber (107); a delaying means (156), which generates a first signal that stops the spray device (131) after a first time period (T1) has elapsed using the opening signal when the damper (145) opens as a baseline, and which generates a second signal that activates the spray device (131) after a second time period (T2) has elapsed using the closing signal when the damper (145) closes as a baseline; and a control means (146) that controls the spray device (131).
