METHOD FOR PROVIDING USER INTERFACE AND MULTIMEDIA APPARATUS APPLYING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for providing a UI(User Interface) and a multimedia apparatus adopting the same are provided to select a scroll bar contents intuitively by selecting a certain point of a contents selection bar and displaying the preview information on the contents corresponding to the point. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(1020) displays a contents selection bard on a screen. If the certain point of the contents selection bar is selected, a control unit(1050) displays the preview information on the contents corresponding to the selected point. The contents selection bar includes the plural selectable points. The number of the contents corresponding to the point is determined by the maximum number of the selectable points and the total number of the contents which are the searching targets of the contents selection bar.
