<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and light-weighted fuel cell of which thickness can be reduced and maintenance can be carried out easily by surely sealing at every unit cell which can be freely designed. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell has a plate-shaped solid polymer electrolyte 1, a pair of electrode plates 2, 3 arranged on both sides of the plate-shaped solid polymer electrolyte 1, and a pair of metal plates 4, 5 on which, a flow passage groove 9 and injection ports 4c, 5c and an exhaust port are arranged.
