PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise suppressing device capable of minimizing the man-hours required for optimization of noise spectrum patterns, an FM receiver, and a method for adjusting the FM receiver. SOLUTION: A pattern table 67 prestores the spectrum pattern of the noise component included in an audio signal determined for every receiving electric field intensity. A noise estimation section 63 reads the noise spectrum pattern corresponding to the electric field intensity from the pattern table 67 to estimate the noise component included in the audio signal. A level calculation section 8 receives a test signal corresponding to the prescribed electric field intensity as an input and calculates the noise level included in the audio signal obtained by an FM demodulation section 4. A correction value calculation section 9 corrects the correspondence of the noise spectrum pattern and the electric field intensity by using the calculated noise level.
