<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymer oxidation inhibitor and a polymer compound which effectively prevent an image from color fading caused by acidic gas and light in the atmosphere and from bleeding of an image under high temperature and high humidity, and to provide a medium to be recorded using them, which is suitable for long-term preservation of the image. <P>SOLUTION: The polymer oxidation inhibitor (or the polymer compound) is obtained by reacting at least 3 types of compounds of a sulfur-containing organic compound (A) having at least 2 active hydrogen groups, a polyisocyanate compound (B) having at least 2 isocyanate groups, and an amine compound (C) having at least 2 active hydrogen groups, and further by cationizing at least a part of an amino group in the resultant product with an acid.
