<p>The method involves attaching machine element i.e. taper roller bearing, on a beam i.e. shaft (3), and arranging a stopping device near the machine element, where the stopping device is axially fixed at the machine element. A micro positive connection is formed between a contact surface (14) of the stopping device and a mating surface of the bracket by hard material particles (17). The stopping device is axially fixed around the bracket. The hard material particles are partially compressed in a region of the mating surface of the bracket into material of the bracket. An independent claim is also included for a stopping device for axially securing a machine element.</p> |
